The B-25 Mitchell was very early on a complization of more powerful gun turrents and supercharged
engines! Impressed with the performance of the XB-21 ( which the project was known as the Dragon project probably due to its
supercharged engines), money was given for several prototypes but the money was pooled back into the design company projects
NA-39 and NA-40 these brought out the final design of the B-25! Its first flight was 19 August 1940 and 9,816 were built but
we could not find the price! When little Tinker(bell) was in his early 20's his maintenance Sargent had fought and pulled
mission's against Japanese airfields in B-25's, (he was what they called a lifer),in the area where we were operating
in Vietnam and Cambodia in the 1970's! Below is the XB-21 which first flew on 22
December 1936! Only one was built for $122,000 dollars!
