This is a rendering of another varient of the configuration of the airplane spaceship Christafer
Robin. The design comtemplates giant large turbine engines and large propeller! To imagine how the configuration would work
how the early model jet engines operated may be of consequence to understand how a large jet engine would operate. The first
jet engines did not operate automaticly in there differant flight operations they had to operate at certain RPM
to cool the turbine blades and the combuster and slowly feed fuel into the fuel system to raise or lower the thrust or RPM
of the turbine.
This may be how large giant complex turbines designed for Christafer Robin and Udet's
Platform would work. Cooling and operating temperatures of the engine especially if experimental would probably be most important
to the smooth operation of the engine especially in flight. Vibration and torque of the powerful swing of the propeller as
it sits in the engine compartment are some of the things associated with the sucess or failure of the idea!
One of the ideas is to make the airframe out of stainless steel as this was the
foundation for the MIG-25 design of the 1970's. This will give a heavy duty structural foundation for the torque and vibrations
associated with the large turbine engine and large propeller. Above is a varient of Christafer Robin that had pylons which
hold either pulse jets for takeoff or and then changed to photon engines in orbit for deep space operation.
