Ok so cool we are publishing! The aircraft template codex code for today is the PT-17
a Stearmen /subsidery of Boeing/ Boeing (1934) training aircraft from WW2 and the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress of which
they built 12,731 units at $238,329 each it first flew on July 28th 1935 and was introduced in April 1938! The Boeing Stearmen
PT-17 which we don't have a date for its first flight but was introduced in 1934 in 1934 Stearmen became a subsidary of Boeing,
reported at a cost of $11,000 each over 10,620 were built and were originally known as the Model 75! And named the Kaydet
it was a two place bi-plane that many were used as crop dusters and airshow planes bought war surplus on the open market after
the war! In 1932 a in-famous book was published called the,"Great Pacific War", by Hector C. By-water who died in Washington
D.C. in 1940!
From an Army Air Corp design plan for a airplane that could
carry twice the bomb load of the Martin B-10 which was just coming on line as the main bomber in the USAAC in 1934. For the
18th of August 2014 we have the Douglas B-18 Bolo which first flew in April 1935 (15 April is not only indivigual income tax
day today, (IDS of April), in 1912 15 April was when the Titantic sank), it competed against Boeing's model 299
the forerunner of the B-17 but this prototype crashed after taking off with it's control locked and thus disqualified it for
consideration in the evaluation trials! Do to the Depth of the depression the cost of the B-18 Bolo (built by Douglas) which
was $58,500 verses the Model 299 which was a superior aircraft but cost over $99,000! The B-18 Bolo called the Digby in Canada
was ordered into production some 350 or so were built and many were destroyed at Pearl Harbor and the Philippines in the Japinese
attack in 1941! This aircraft later developed into the XB-22 and the B-23 Dragon by Douglas which first flew on July 27th
1939 the year 1940 was the year of the Dragon!
For August 19th 2014 we have the PT-19
built by Fairchild which started out as the model 62 and was a two place mono-plane trainer the was built with wood steel
tube and fabric and has an in-line engine which gave the pilot visibility over the nose a primary trainer used many times
to train pilots before transferring to the PT-17 the PT19 first flew on 15 May 1939 and 6397 were built and later the Fairchild
aircraft and instrument company became the Fairchild semi-conductor company which successfully produced the Transistor and
started Silicon valley in California! Then we think they helped develop the computer micro-processer!
It is here where we are investigating the demise of the Dornier-Fairchild company and appearance of this group known
as M-7 and an Israeli address just before (9/11 in 2001) and after in 2002!
The airplane
codex code for the 20th of August( august has five weeks in it), is the A-20 Havoc or the company's name Douglas DB-7 Also
known as the Boston and the P-70 night fighter! Originally designed in March 1937 with 485 horse powered engines information
from the Spanish civil war reported that this design would be underpowered! It was later fitted with 1100 horse powered engines
and the type was test flown by the French purchasing commission! Due to the Neutrality Act of 1935 which forbid the purchase
of aircraft and other armament's by other nation's and exported by the U.S.! Calling for a revamping of the Act the DB-7 A-20
Havoc was test flown and purchased for over sea's export! Over 7478 were eventually built but we do not have a cost, designed
by Ed Heineman it first flew in January 1939 and was retired by the U.S. Air force in 1949! Many were used in the North Africa
theater against Rommel's Africa corps!
For August 21st 2014 we have the
XB-21 which even though was not the Dragon was known as the Dragon( and it was fitted with turbo-supercharged engines
but only one was built by North American Aviation and several development designation's later NA-39 and NA-40 became known
as the North American B-25 Mitchell bomber one of the mainstays of the medium bomber USAAF of WW2 fleet! this week we notice
that Wednesday was the 20th and next Wednesday is the 27th. After WW1 there was or is a very important and interesting book
called The Gun's of August it was between the middle of July and the 1st of September that the enigma code electronic calculating
machine known as "bomb's" were sent to various Allied intel agencies from Warsaw Poland in 1939! At the beginning of August
1939 the New German airship the LZ130 Graf Zeppelin II flew a mission off the cost of England Listening to radio traffic less
then a month later on September the 1st 1939 the German Army invaded Poland and WW2 started after having signed a piece of
paper stating that they would not commit to aggression against allied interest in the European countries!
