Insert (the airplane template for Friday December the 13th is the Vultee BT-13 Valient
and well over 9000 were manufactured first flown March 24th 1939 it was also produced numbered designation the BT-15 It is
this aircraft that the number's or numerological order interest's us as it was designed by a guy named Palmer who was
actually working on a fighter plane but information came in that the Army Air Corps was looking for a trainer aircraft that
a substantial amount of money could be made on by the selected manufacturer noticing that the BF-109 Messerschmitt was first
flown in 1935 we notice that in the Enigma codex machine in which we think the idea of breaking the code was to identify and
understand information related to aircraft design and the Polish and British Front company was called the AVA radio manufacturing
company of Warsaw Poland and of course at the time before the invasion of Poland in September 1939 the Vultee Aircraft Company
was working on the model 51! which became the BT-13 and BT-15!) Ok on this date Friday the 13th 2013 almost the first
day of Winter just before Christmas 2013! The thought of a giant asteroid the size of the Rose Bowl may not make you feel
secure as it seems according to plots related to the asteroid Apophis and after it makes a close pass in 2029 it may circle
the earth 5 or 6 times and crash directly into the earth in 2036! True Story from the information that we have today!
Back in 1969-70 we were just learning as we had just landed on the moon and Tinker was in the army in Vietnam that the earth
may be threatened by a large asteroid in the not too distant future!
Tinker he tried in
his spare time as a helicopter mechanic and door gunner on Huey helicopters to try and imagine towing a asteroid with a large
airplane-spaceship!
It was hard to do as there were not too many pictures or films
of spaceship's in real time in outer space in 1969! But by the late 70's Tinker who worked as a helicopter mechanic
in the Iowa Army National Guard worked on his idea of a airplane spaceship that took off from a runway which he knew would
be very expensive if not impossible to make work!
He was also working on motorized
hang gliders which were new at the time and first formed a business incubater for the hang glider project and called the Grand
Planet Airship Company!
From looking at stuff about asteroids on the internet according
to information we now know is that actually messing with an asteroid in space may be outlawed by international tready!
This comes from the thinking that asteroids are Celestial bodies whether or not they pose a threat to earth or not has not
been decided yet from Tinker's understanding!
In fact our only recourse may be to
have an emergency plan where Tinker's basic design for a large airplane spaceship only goes up and does not come back to land
and the optimal position in the programed project would be to be able to take off and land and there by being able to work
on the aircraft on the ground but if you've been checking this web site not only do we have to design the spaceship we also
have to design the large building's to manufacture and maintain the aircraft!
Never the
less this errant asteroid possibly poses a real threat to earth and we have very little deep space experience even as the
space shuttle program and the spacestation is operating!
Tinker he has to laugh
at himself as it was not too many years ago that he walking down a lonely interstate in the middle of the night in the winter
in Washington state! Alone with no apartment or car and cold! He realizes today that we are lucky to be able to report on
our spaceship airplane design and the threatening asteroid in our not too distant future!
From this web site and renderings even though quite crude and basic you can kind of get an idea of the task involved
in highly experimental aircraft design's especially if your thinking of one that is very large the largest aircraft to date
in the Air Bus 380 and very much it is made out of the new composite materials and has trouble with cracks on day a couple
of years ago the engine exploded just after take off on one 380 and sent shrapnel threw the wings damaging the flight
control system luckily the aircraft made an emergency landing but the idea of large giant super jumbos is still new to the
flying public!
The idea of landing and taking off to go into orbit and the
great cost of the project and the experimental nature of airplane spaceship at times boogle's the mind as the size of the
buildings to manufacture the craft come into focus character as well as a turf runway and the size of the landing gear and
propeller! Being able to manufacture the propeller to withstand reentry and make cost effective are all milestones that have
to circumnavigated!
Never the less when Tinker feels he is having a good day
he is quite lucky to have a format to discuss the issue with the public and very much help face a fear of possible extermination
by asteroid's from space! If we have luck we can possibly make the idea work and have an industry on earth that actually is
a reality that manufacture's and operate's with success deep space vehical's to explore our solar system!
One of the main big problems in designing the large propeller driven spaceship is the propeller Tinker has rendering's of
the propeller assembly and testing building and it is quite huge. The assembly of large equipment is complicated by the fact
that large cranes are thought to be needed and the actual manufacturing of the indivigual blades and their connection to the
hub of the propeller assembly as well as the fact that what the propeller blades are constructed from and the fact the the
propellers RPM on regular size ME-109 aircraft was between 3450-5000 RPM unsure whether this was possible to construct
or not Tinker added pulse jets in Pylons outer wing roots of the wing in case the power plant propeller system's are
or is an underpowered system because of their large size and weight! Not only is this a problem of great thought
but the cost effective relationship of whether or not the propeller has to be replaced with a new assembly after each and
every reentry from outer space!
This major cost and the fact that understanding
how we mite connect the landing gear to the large airframe took quite of bit of thought and still the landing gear is experimental
in nature!
Large gigantic tires and wheels have to be constructed and today
the largest aircraft used commercialy the Air Bus 380 use's an array of computers and sub systems to operate the three axis
control system commercialy on air routes!
Weight and balance computations
and jacking the aircraft up or lifting the airframe has to have what aircraft designers call hard points designed into the
large airframe!
