Ok so cool we are publishing! But we did not go to the top of the page title column so
you will have to pay attention! Today is July 8th Tuesday choose day we call it 2014 Year of the wooden horse in Tibet's calendar!
Todays aircraft codex is the new Boeing P-8 Poseidon maritime aircraft built for the U.S. Navy a military designed from the
airframe of a 737-800 ERX and as reported in the title cost's in 2013 at between $201 million dollars and $270 million
dollars each! Only about 15 or so have been so far built but they are used to replace the P-3 Orion patrol aircraft!
The P-8 conducts anti submarine warfare (ASW) and anti-surface warfare(ASUW) and shipping interdiction along with electronic
signal's intel- (ELINT)! Which involves carrying torpedoes, depth charges SLAM-ER missiles and Harpoon anti-shipping missiles
and other weapons built by Boeing Defense,Space & Security the Indian Navy have so far ordered a version of the P-8 called
the P-81 Neptune!
The next aircraft template code for the 8th of July 2014 is a Russian
heavy bomber that was designed before WW2 and had four engines called the Petlyakov Pe-8 that first flew on (look at
this) 27 December 1936! At first designated the TB-7 it was renamed after its primary designer Vladimir Petlyakov died
in and airplane crash in 1942 and was used to bomber Berlin in August 1941 Designed by the Tupolev design bureau (OKB) they
built 93 of them and were used in the arctic up until the late 1950's many were turned into transports and used to shuttle
Soviet leaders around in!
The next airplane for the 8th is the F8F Bearcat fighter plane built
by Grumman it was used in late WW2 and Korea and in early Vietnam combat when little Tinker was an army helicopter mechanic
one of his jobs was to help transport badley damaged helicopter's to Saigon to transport back to the Bell helicopter
company in the U.S. going by the south Vietnam's air force officers club you could see on display there of a F8F bearcat
in the court yard there was also a major town in Vietnam called Bearcat! One very modified F8F broke the world's speed record
for propeller driven aircraft in 1969 surpassing a modified Nazi ME-209 that held the record for over 30 years
the crew got the F8F Bearcat to go that fast over 469 mph by stripping out the landing gears hydraulic system and installing
much lighter compressed air cylinders to force the landing gear down for landing!
