Ok so cool we are publishing! The Vultee BT-13 and BT-15 Valiant first
flew on 24 March 1939 and was designed by Richard Palmer who was designing a fighter plane but adapted the design to a trainer
over 9525 were built and many were sold war surplus! heavier then most trainers it had a two-position two bladed propeller
and pilots learned the mechanical flaps and radio communication in the trainer design!
Vultee and Consolidated merged during the war and became Convair which produced the B-36 Peacemaker jet piston bomber after
WW2! And they produced the F-106 Delta dagger and other delta wing jet aircraft! Later they would become General Dynamics
who produce the F-16 flying Falcon!
And a flying car configuration and at the bottom of
the page we have the last of the experimental Japanese fighter planes of WW2 called the Shinden or Lightning! Which was a
canard design and had a rear piston engine and a pusher propeller and later versions were to use jet engines!
Only a few of these aircraft were built and they were evaluated by the Allies after the conflict!
