Ok so cool we are publishing! But as you can see we did not go to the top
of the page title column and we don't exactly know why this happens and as with numbers and names and dates and technical
information you have to be quite aware of the day and date to understand what we find out and kind of use in our little airplane
aircraft number name template codex code! We think but we are not sure that the enemy ( who ever they are), may have some
interest in keeping a lot of otherwise easy information to understand if you can read and understand English complex looking
and confusing! but we don't know for sure so pay attention! Ok so on this page for the 9th of June 2014 where we have the
F9F Panther and the F9F Cougar (built by Grumman) and used in the Korean war one aircraft the Panther was a straight wing
jet and the other was a swept wing configuration! they were Grumman's first jet fighter plane and sadly we do not have a price
but both aircraft even though they were each different designs were given the same designation F9F! To further confuse you
we notice on this past D-day week end that we have the Pilatus PC-9 which in America is known as the T-6 Texan II the name
taken from the WW2 trainer the North American T-6 Texan which we think first flew on April 1st 1935 from information off the
internet! The T-6 Texan II is built by Beechcraft but they were bought by Raytheon a defense group company as the Pilatus
PC-9 is a Swiss airplane manufacturer! That is the design that the T-6 Texan II is originally taken from and it has a turbo-prop
engine where as the original North American T-6 Texan has a big piston radial engine! Are You thoroughly confused now? Tinker
wonder's! We put on this page a picture of a centrifugal jet engine out of one of my FAA aviation maintenance manuals
so you can see what is different about a jet and what's talked about it! Ok well the information we have on the F9F Panther
( Grumman) is that it was a straight wing jet the first jet fighter plane that Grumman made and first flew on 24 November
1947! About 1382 were built but they don't give a price it was tested with several different jet engines and it was used
in Korea and shot down several MIG-15 Russian Fighters even though it is thought to be slower and less of a jet
design then the MIG-15! One of the guy's that landed on the moon Neil Armstrong for NASA in the late 60's, flew the F9F in
Korea and had to eject ( Ejection seats were a new invention) when the North Koreans strung a cable across a valley and his
airplane crashed into it! This is the time when the what the press and Churchill dubbed the Fall of the Iron curtain happened in
eastern Europe and Germany and Europe were very much in many places a bombed out wreck! This is when in 1948 the State of
Israel was formed and Truman fired Forestall the first Secretary of Defense who had been the Secretary of the Navy! He
was found dead at a naval medical center in 1949 and the death appears to some people to be suspicious! We
are going to put a picture of a couple of the first jets including a NAZI design along side a British design early jet fighter
plane! The F9F Cougar (Grumman) first flew on 20th September 1951 and 1,392 were built faster then the F9F Panther it was
too late for the Korean war and had swept wings!
The Pilatus PC-9 aircraft
first flew in 7th May 1984 about 250 of these aircraft have been built! Pilatus is a Swiss aircraft company it is a
tandem seat turbo-prop aircraft and It was developed from the PC-7 and developed into the T-6 Texan II built by Raytheon aircraft
then became Hawker Beechcraft now Beechcraft of which there have been 636 built and its first flight is only listed
as the year 2000 but was introduced in 2001 the T-6 Texan II has been cited by the on April 9th 2007 U.S. Defense
Department for cost overruns of 25%-50% and the program is under a Nunn-McCurdy breach (From Nunn-McCurdy amendment)
and it is unusual that the T-6 Texan II program is in violation as it is so far into production each unit is said to cost
between $3.9 million and $6 million each and the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II weighs about 1100 LBS more then the Pilatus
PC-9 about 22% more!
