Ok so cool we are publishing again our title for today did not got to the top of the title page which is
confusing to the viewer but we will have to make do!
the Fairchild PT-19 is the A/C codex
for today the Fairchild company which was founded by Sherman Fairchild in 1925 united very early in putting cameras on airplanes
and won a government contract to photograph soil erosion during the time of the dust bowl which was in 1935! During the war
they built the PT-19 which first flew on 15 May 1939 and was introduced in 1940! Designed by Armand Thielbolt it was a very
nice aircraft to fly and they manufactured over 6397 of them but we do-not have a price per unit! Listed as defuct in 2003
it was for a time called Dornier Fairchild and before that was part of Damlier Benz aerospace, later aquired by
the German Insurance company Allianz AG and the investment group of Clayton Dubilier & Rice in December 1999,
(we notice that these years around (9/11 around 2000-2001 there were big movements in the aircraft industry) in 2003 it was
acquired by M-7 Aerospace and in December 2010 it was acquired by the U.S. subsidiary of the Israeli defense contractor Elbit
systems! We kind of wonder about this as in involves German aircraft manufacturing licenses!
Also we noticed that the designer of the centrifugal jet engine Frank Whittle ( British) German's invented the Axial flow
jet engine! Died in the U.S. first part of August 1996 the internet says he died of Lung cancer and several times he was hospitalized
for nervous break downs during his career as a experimental RAF scientist working on the jet engine! On 27 August 1927 he
joined the No. 111 squadron and was always in trouble for flying at low altitude and doing acrobatics! it was here at this
juncture that he first showed his research paper's on his idea of a jet engine! There were several attempts to find financial
backing for his projects and many times he reported he and his men working as slaves to develop the engine! He filed for a
patient and got it but could not afford the 5 pounds to renew it later with several other financial arrangements he developed
a flying version but by this time the Germans were ahead of him even though he originally had been six years ahead of
the Germans! During the war the German axial jet engine was superior to Whittle centrifugal jet but was hampered by the lack
of metals needed for the turbine blades to operate under-normal overhaul rotation! We looked at the dates to see if we could
find any number 27 dates and found out that he signed on 27 January 1935 a power sharing agreement that funded his company
that was called," Power jets", later this was nationalized by the British government!
