No matter how nice the new cars are today differant from Tinkerbells rust bucket that he drives.
A car is not an airplane,an airplane is not a spaceship, but it mite be like a spaceship.A transatmoshereic orbiter is not
an interplanetary spaceship, but it could be like an interplanetary spaceship.
You have to break this down and catagorize the organization of the "Being" of the thing that
your doing or what you want to accomplish.
Hours and hours of drawing aircraft in profile thinking about this while at the kitchen table
in" Granpa Tinkerbells", house in" Occident Central", got me to be able to 3- demensionalize my renderings from two demsionalization
renderings and I could relate the relative of my aviation experience with a bit of information as it went along with and in
the context of avenues of developmental thought.
When you think about complicated stuff or and the associative, "Simple Dum and Stupid"
concepts and formulative thinking into weight and balance aircraft factoring, to safely design an aircraft that flys forward
and then the unheard of task you want it to fly backwards also; or backwards forward (rear fuselage faceing forward flight).
Added to this is its not just an airplane its a spaceship too. You realize a new demension in "Simple - Dum -And-Stupid",
anology.
This was a difficult thing to explain with out drawing pictures and explaining it to people
they had good reason to asociate you with a nut job. One of the key arguments to the idea was that an airplane traveling at
low speed in high or higher head wind conditions actualy could fly over the ground backwards and this gave Tinkerbell the
confidence to carry on with the idea.
When Tinkerbell owned his own airplane a old one 1947 model in the early 1970's he had the experiance
and was getting it day by day as he flew and operated it, no longer did the goverment or the U.S. Army pay the bill for his
love affair with the sky he had to, and only in America could he afford to do it, keep it maintained, keep it hangered ,
and keep it insured,Tinkerbell drove a used car worked a blue collar job and lived at home and was seen from time to time
at the local night spots.Tinkerbell was cool.
When you insure a airplane even thought the body of the plane is called the fuselage, insurance
is known as "Hull insurance" like from the word associative with boats or ships and things like that. This "Hull insurance"
is like comprensive insurance for your car.Which means that if you get into an accident your insurance company will pay
to fix it.But alot of times peaple don't pay for good insurance and have the very minimal or none at all, even airplanes. If
you've ever crashed an airplane and Tinkerbell has, when he was an owner, getting them fixed can be a real headache if you
don't have good insurance. It may not be all you need but good airplane "Hull Insurance", certinly helps.
To think about an airplane and its fuselage hull and transfer the thought factorying processes
to a airplane-spaceship idea and better yet the thought factoring associated with an airplane-spaceship interplanetary type. You
kinda of think of the the hull or fuselage and wings and weight and balance "especially" if its suppose to fly forward and
backward. The weight an balance of an airplane that flys forward, and how the hull of the aircraft is related to the powerplant
is important, because the powerplant is one, if not usualy the heaviest of the items associative for flight, and that and
fuel and the center of gravity is how much differant in forward flight or rearward flight and what type of structure (or hull
fuseage) do you need to properly get the job done or to operate it in the confinds of its saftey perimeter.Added to that
it the idea of airplane-spaceship=transtmospheric aircraft-interplanetary spaceship.(That).Takes off from a runway and lands
on a runway so you can bring it back down and work on it when it needs to be fixed that is quite an acomplishment if its possible.
Added to this,is in order to do this right and the $64,000 question, how much does
it cost?
When you start to think about how much something like this, (an airplane- spaceship), cost or
what would it takes to build the thing. When you start talking about these things and rolling the numbers around (as they
call it ). In most cases they're going to know wheather your "Do Da" or not in the head pretty quick if they who are
listening to you have some experiance related to what your talking about.Added to this bums, spies, witches, and money theres
a good chance you won't get very far.And they're could be like in "earths case" a must do senario to the anology about
it, in the shape of an asteroid comming at least close enouph to almost not to be able to call it one way or another.
In the design and manufacture of aircraft wheather civilain,or military,(there is a differance
in engineering parameters and standards between civil and military),there is quite often a mockup stage and a prototype construction
and test flying stage. Theres a good chance that these stages were reached through research and development,(R&D) and
concept models associated with the mockup or finished flying protoype design.
The contex of this part of the conversation is to address the old attage that "Time is money" and
"Money is time". This relates to the addage who's Time and who's money.
In the days of "Willy's" little mailplane company the skys were like the giant planet "Jupiter" in
nature, there were many good and sound reasons for keeping the design of the airplane simple and sturdy. The more complex the
ratio of design concept the more or less the facilities were needed to excentuate the ideas promoted in the design".When you
have no insurance build assurance", Kurt Tank would probably say.
As Tinkerbell said before the basic concept of the ME-109 was that it was very often in comparison
to other aircrft like the P-51 and the P-47 much smaller and if your idea is to build something big why not out of something
the most qualified in the catagory (that means up to its competiton standard) but in its smallest package.
In all these aircraft that are greatly much smaller then the envisioned "Christafer Robin"
and "Udets Platform" the engine or powerplant is separated from thr rest of the aircraft by a bulkhead known as a firewall
bulkhead and the construction style is known as semi-monoque or monoque type. The powerplant is attached to the firewall bulkhead,
and light cowling is attached to the powerplant, and the propeller is attached to the end of the shaft of the powerplant,
the cowling is light weight and is held in place with attachments to the firewall.
If that is the way forward flying aircraft are constructed mite an interplanetary spaceship be differant?
Would the area of the light weight cowling around the powerplant be heavier with bulkheads going all the way to the forward
propeller?
A type of pressure hull that the crew could enter and work and check on the machinery while it is in space.
What would this do to the weight and balance accorded forward flight in the flight operations of a huge
flying machine full of fuel and differant types of fuel(related to variable powerplants) accorded the take off and the
rearward launch into space?
How big are the fuel tanks? Is the main asent engine going to be liquid hydrogen? Along with fuel
for the forward flying propeller powerplant.Added to this are pulse jets needed to assist the main forward power plant and
get the heavily loaded airframe off the runway? What differant kinds of fuel do the differant powerplants use and where and
how big are the tanks in order to reach orbit with a full load?
What does all this mean for the weight and balance computations for forward and rearward flight
in accordance with such a large airframe, and all the varients accorded powerplants, differant fuels and fuel tanks and fuel
tank wieghts at take off inflight and in rearward flight blasting through the atmosphere into orbit? And how is the weight
and balance and flight characteristics upon reentry into the atmosphere and landing?
The Airbus 380 is almost a football field in wingspan width. What would be the ramifacations
of a two or three or four football fields size wing span? Can the basic design of the landing gear of an ME-109 made out of
composites hold it together.
First Tinkerbell thinks that the optimum progressive research and development plan would be
to have four or five prototype-trainers possibly built a little differantly from one another and at least one that would just
run down the runway and not fully take off could cost $50 billion.Added to that is the prototypes that fly and the prototypes
the fly backward into orbit.
And what about the facilities to constuct the machines and where to locate them and where are
the tecnictians to that facilitate the development plan.
Also the most rule of measurement is that the rpm's on a Damlier Benz 601 engine developed about
3500- to-5000 rpm's maximum at take-off. What will the structure be made of and how is it to be constructed to with stand
the vibration and the torque of a giant swinging propeller at that rpm?
And also when Tinkerbell was on the jungle airbase working on old "Huey's", he had work stands.auxillary
power units, some other places had auxillary hydralic test units, cranes.to lift the heavy componants off and away from the
airframe .You would have to have giant ones to make the system work,Ones with a enclosed control room with computer banks
and hookups to what was going on inside the spaceship-airplane,and these things on giant wheels so they can move about and
away from the aircraft-space craft while you tested the various systems.
And when you design the structure of the airframe of the giant craft you have to have what are
called "hardpoints" built right into the structure so with giant hydralic jacking systems can lift the airframe off the ground
so the landing gear can be checked and the flight control systems and you mite need several of these jacking and movable control
centers to keep the space program network operating remember!,
time is money!
Depending on how much of an experimental nature your prototype is; the word prototype is usually
anagesic to the first numbers of production models which is usualy the next stage development up from prototype. Your
design could take on more of the nounnomenclature of what they call an experimental vehical. This related to being able to
transfer ideas and hardware to your design from other designs or related technology already developed by the appropiate industrys and
experiance. If your design is too complex and too experimetal and transends the science of usual "workings"or "the being of
the thing" all your work and trouble can be a write off and left exposed to the quandery of political and scientific miscalculations
as well as everything else that can go wrong with it.
A couple of other things an important to say the least, is the referance to a slang word that
Tinkerbell developed in his studies and experiance is that accronym word that he made up and that is,"konck numbers",
and excape velocity from gravitational pull into freestanding orbit as they call it.
The konck or kick that you get from the first stage of the initial rocket burn to how much fuel you
have and how much weight your going to put up into orbit and the reliability of the rocket engine and the formula numbers
associated with the type of fuel burned. And how much fuel is burned in its sub-orbital track or operation.
When you start to enter this world of numbers you start to relate to everything about the rocket motors
that you know about nozzel design and the abitlity of the fuel turbo thruster to bring vast amounts of fuel into
a proper burn pattern with reliability with the experimental size of such weightful payload associated with the great size
of "Christafer Robin" and "Udets Platform".Also along with these factors is what kind of special fuel tanks to hold the propellant
are they sealed or lined or just bare metal that can get get brittle with the exteme cold associated with the fuels now used.Thank
goodness "Christafer Robin" ignites its main asent rocket moter while it is in the air! That alone Tinkerbell was told saves
more then a third of the fuel now associated with vertical launch vehicals. An air launch has less vibrations akin to its
operations then does a vertical launch.
The escape velocity for a vehical leaving the gravitational pull of earth to go into orbit is somewhere around
2200mph to 3500mph and if you launch yourself toward the spin of the earth that can help you reach orbit a little sooner also.
So as you can see there are several factors concerning "konck" numbers that can sink or float your design.
This is what spured Tinkerbells mind about the hexagon project was first; airplanes can fly backwards
across the ground in high headwinds and second; if you can get the rocket booster off the ground and still fairley close
to the ground you can save more then a third of your propellant and because you ingnited in the air and not on the ground
the extreme vibrations associated with ground launch vertical vehicals are not as previlent.Third; the basic idea of
the airplane wing itaelf when moved in its forward position can get a craft off the ground and reverse it add rocket thrust
and you can reach transonic speeds with out to much science fiction.
The thing you have to remember is that "Christafer Robin" and "Udets Plateform" are both designed
to be giant machines that have to propel themselfs through quite a bit of sky the optimum heighth is around or just under
220 miles above the ground and the speeds associated with escape velocity to orbit given above are minimum
speeds and that means the rocket has to operate longer and you have to have the fuel to do it as well as the basic reliability
of the rocket motor and componants to do the job and keep doing the job and pay off as well into the operating scheme you
have designed for it.
Ok so now if you go to the other page and and read what Tinkerbell wrote about how much something
mite cost and I'm quoted in saying well to build Occident Central and have a runway between 10 to twenty to 30 miles long
in the corn fields and buiding the giant facilities mite cost 5 trillion dollars and to operate another 5 trillion dollars
and to build each Christafer Robin as well as the two service orbiters talk about,(Udets Platform) that go with each Christafer
that the cost of these could be 500 billion to 5 trillion depending on what and how many. And their true size.Tinkerbell guessed
a little bit because when he wanted to build into the Grand Planet Airship Company the cost of things like insurance for medical
care really brought you down to reality and the discussion is alot about medical costs goverment operation and the cost to
businesses with the United states being the last of the western nations not having goverment health care.Arthor found a picture
on the internet that showed what a trillion dollars looked like in $100 dollar bills and it was unbelevable almost,And with
the news this week of the dollar losing 5% of its value in just a couple of day the rates of inflation and international numbers
come into play but we think to get a good stab at making the whole thing work is we are pretty close. If you don't really step
up to the plate and make a good plan you will end up with a abandon junk yard and everybody practicing sharia law Tinkerbell
thinks! Whether or not you capture the asteroid or not in an emergency plan that we mentioned.Ok well this day is March 22nd
and after Saint Patricks day we are watching this development over the banking commitee chairman Christafer Dodd that got
a sweet heart deal with country wide financial which is owned by Bank of America now and his watering down amendments so the
executives of AIG could get bonuses.the report was 165 million but we heard that that may be 218 million now.Dodd if you remenber
had a presidential campaign too early and he has been the person most payed lobbist fees from AIG preveiously it was reported
in the press Comes on like some kind of thug really Tinkerbell thinks his father was a senator and censored by the senate
thats where they tell you to shut up! it must of been when the 50 year secrecy act was going on.Country wide financial
the sweet heart deal Dodd got has or had its headquarters in the old Lockheed aircraft head quarters and lock head is suppose
to have George Bush's contract to go to the moon.Tinkerbell thinks Bush is rediculus both of em are! Already theres been a
big gun battle with police reported on the news in the Oakland California area.Dodd who's father played some role in
the Nuremberg Trials wrote a book about it and now there is a case of a nazi prison guard that killed alot of people in Poland
but this guy had a case in which he was forced to be a death camp guard and he's been returned to Austria from where he was
living in Wisconsin. So this weekend Arthor and I watched the war movie a bridge too far it was this battle Tinkerbell told
Arthor is the reason why the fighting after that was rediculus but one of the products of total war is chaos and this battle
in Set 1944 inbetween D-day and the battle of the bulge was when Lent, Oberlutenant Lent was killed in an accident in his
night fighter actually in October the 7th 1944.There are twenty states probing the AIG scandal and we what to tell you about
something else we found but we have to get the info to our goverment stringer and that hasn't happened yet.
