AS indicated earlier, the identities of the company making the acquisition and the one being
acquired can be a slippery, particularly when the pretransaction shareholders of one corporation overlap with the shareholders
of the other. Think of the acquiring company as the surviving entitiy, meaning the firm whose shareholders wind up with more
shares of the acquiring company than the sharholders of any other participant after the consummation of the transaction.
