Ok so cool we are publishing! Well except for making a mistake this past week end that the
27th of May 2014 was a Wednesday instead of Tuesday which it really was ( since that time tonight we changed it) Tinker will
tell you we have been investigating the beginnings of WW2 and at this time we are working around the years of 1929 1930 and
found out that not long after Glenn Hammond Curtiss died on 23 July 1930 from complications suffered in court from an appendix
attack on the 5th of October 1930 the British airship the R101 crashed in France on its way to India and its first flight
had been in 1929 after several delays the same year that the Stock Market crashed here in America and we noticed that
the official report on the R-101 accident was filed on March 27th 1931!
One of the
aircraft on May 27th codex template airplane code is a variant of the North American T-6 Texan which was a modification of
the advanced training aircraft fitted with small caliper machine guns and perhaps bombs and rockets it was designated the
A-27!
The T-6 Texan built by North American was first flown on April 1st 1935 ( April
fools Day!). And over 15,495 were built many of them survive today!
There is also today
a T-6 Texan ll which is a turbo -prop aircraft that the design is taken from a Paliatus aircraft which is a Swiss aircraft
and has been cited by the U.S. Congress for cost over runs as they are built for the U.S. Air force and the U.S. Navy today!
the next aircraft that we have is a German design from the 1960's produced by the Dornier Aircraft Company called the D0-27
which was a large by many standard's a single engine army type utility aircraft and the Dornier Company also produced
a twin engine DO-28 utility aircraft these were also known as STOL aircraft STOL meaning "short takeoff and Landing", type!
the last we know for sure is that Dornier produced a 328 utility aircraft in the late 1990's but then we see where they
went out of Business in 2002 and supposedly is owned by some sort of Israeli Defense organization and contractor which as
Tinker always thought the importance of aircraft manufacture to a national entity as it has been in the past should raise
some alarm bell's! (9/11 was in 2001).
May 28th 2014 Year of the Horse the airplane codex
for this day is the XB-28 which was developed from the B-25 Mitchell bomber it looked they say like a Martin B-26 and it was
a program that was canceled at the end of the war it was an attempt to design a twin engine high altitude medium bomber that
we think was pressurized!
May 29th 2014 is our link pin link codex code into the next
month! why we think of this aircraft is kind of a story about the fall of the Iron Curtin in the late 1940's and early
50's! the Boeing B-29 was a pressurized 4 engine bomber that was used to drop the atomic bomb on Japan before it dropped the
atomic bomb the design was used in conventional raids on the Japanese homeland which was pretty much a long and dangerous
flight that took many flying hours! Several aircraft suffered battle damage and had to make emergency landing's in Russia
or the Soviet Union from a few of these B-29 aircraft the Russians made a Soviet copy of the aircraft that after the
fall of the Iron curtain surprised many allied aviation experts as they thought the Russians were quite not up to the job
of designing their own nuclear bomber at the time! the B-29 was a pinnacle developmental airplane-aircraft design of
the United States by the end of WW2 it was pressurized to be able to fly at high altitudes and the gun turrets were radar
sighted and remotely controlled and in the last days of the war carried the atomic bomb!
The Boeing B-29 Super fortress first flew on 21 September 1942 and according to the internet was a very big job manufacturing
and bringing to airworthy status the many modifications to the new aircraft! several different factories and thousands and
thousands of personnel were required! Introduced in 1944 3,970 B-29's were built at a cost of about $639,188 dollars each
unit! the aircraft was last retired in 21 June 1960!
Development of a pressurized bomber
for the USAAF started as early as 1938 but not having any money for the design Boeing worked on the Idea with it's own funds!
Jumping to the 4th of June we find the Russian copy of the B-29 which was built by Tupolev and called the TU-4 (NATO code
name,"Bull"). Starting with battle damaged B-29's that landed in Russia who was neutral with Japan until the last days
of WW2 and interned along with their crew's the Russian went about the task of designing their own B-29 by utilizing a downtown
Moscow department story where they installed a telephone exchange that connect various other departments personnel located
all over Russia designing and building the many parts required for to make the aircraft!
The TU-4 ,"Bull", first flew on 19 May 1947 and was manufactured into 1952 building 847 units and was the first Soviet aircraft
to drop a nuclear weapon!
May 30th 2014 Friday Year of the Horse! On this day in
1971 the Mars orbitor the Mariner 9 was launch and took the first close up pictures of the Planet that represents the
god of War! The only aircraft we could find was the LB-30 which is an early model Consolidated B-24 Liberator the LB-30
designation was the early designation that six aircraft were sold to France just days before France's surrender to Germany
in 1940! The B-24 Liberator (Consolidated) first flew on December 29th 1939 and the last one was retired from the Indian airforce
in 1968 produced between 1940 and 1945 over 18,482 were built at a cost of $297,627 dollars or about $4.77 million in todays
money!
Consolidated founded in 1923 by Rueben H. Fleet
after the liquidation of the Gallaudet aircraft company and the purchase of designs by the Dayton-Wright Company as the subsidiary
was being closed by it's parent Company General Motors! In 1924 it, Consolidated, moved from Connecticut to Buffalo,
New York and in September 1935 moved across country to San Diago California and there is won a contract to build the PBY-5
Catalina flying boat!
In September 1941 fleet sold
his 34.26% share in Consolidated for $10.9 million dollars to Victor Emanual to form Consolidated-Vultee or Con-Vair as it
became known and General Dynamic's bought a majority stake in the company in 1953 where it had been building aircraft and
manufacturing aircraft componant's until the operation was purchased by MC Donald-Douglas in 1994 and shut down in 1996!
On American Greed a guy who got loans illegally from the tobacco company's in New York city ran a computer company called
Consolidated systems and was caught but with an unaccounted 13 million dollars became a fugitive and deserted his wife and
both his and hers family who had put up a bond before he was ordered to 17 years in jail disappearing and having a masters
degree in computer science at the time, they forged loan papers for a so called project Star at the tune of some $400
million dollars in the late 90's! Tinker does not know if there is a connection but he thought he would add this little tid
bit of information as computers and aircraft companies are sometimes conneted!
